Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25, 1968) is a Canadian actor and a singer. Her most memorable role is on American television's Law & Order where she was the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan for six. She was also a part of films like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and independent films Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The movie was directed and written by her. Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father was a meat salesman as well as an executive in marketing and sales. His job required extensive travel, which resulted in several moves for the family. Maxine Her mother was a secretary. Her daughter was left behind by Eleanor Her paternal grandmother in Kitchener, Ontario. Her younger brother, John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and a identical twin sister, Jacqueline, who is an editor for magazines and a TV host in Canada. Hennessy is a mixture of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian heritage from her father's side, and predominantly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School and graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute, both of which are located in Kitchener, Ontario, and was busking on the Toronto subway. Hennessy as well as her sister were the first to appear as twin call girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's sister, revealed that she was chosen for The X-Files for Dana Scully's role. Hennessy also played the character of Dr. Marie Lazarus on RoboCop 3. In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy to the role as Claire Kincaid assistant district attorney on Law & Order. She portrayed the role for three seasons before being removed from the show as an actor in 1996.
